Special emphasis is placed on Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA), IMDG Code, and Incoterms 2020 — critical areas for professionals working in freight forwarding, supply chain, and cargo handling.

Course Objective
The objective of the Advanced Diploma in Freight & Cargo Management is to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in air and sea freight operations, international trade regulations, and the handling of dangerous goods. Through a blend of classroom and online learning, the course aims to prepare professionals to efficiently manage freight forwarding processes, ensure compliance with global standards such as IATA and IMDG, and enhance their ability to support seamless cargo movement and supply chain operations

- Air Freight Operations – 12 hours
Sea Freight Operations – 12 hours
Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA) – 40 hours
IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) – 22 hours
International Trade – 30 hours
Incoterms – 4 hours
Total Course Duration: 120 Hours
Prerequisite
This program is designed to be accessible to a wide range of learners with varying backgrounds. Applicants should meet at least one of the following criteria:
Completion of Higher Secondary Education (Grade 12 or equivalent)Working professionals with relevant experience in logistics, freight, or cargo operations, even if they do not hold a formal qualification
Individuals looking to switch careers into the logistics, freight forwarding, or cargo management sectors and seeking a structured foundation
Basic proficiency in English and a strong interest in aviation, supply chain, or cargo logistics will support successful participation in the program.
Exam & Certification
Participants will be awarded a Diploma in Freight Forwarding upon successful completion of all modules and final assessments.
Exam Details:
Exam 1 – Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR)
Open-book exam – 3 hours
Passing mark: 80%
- Candidates scoring 95% and above will be awarded Distinction
- Scores between 70%–79% will be given one more attempt to retake the exam
- Scores below 70% will be considered failed
Exam 2 – IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods)
Open-book exam – 3 hours
Passing mark: 80%
- Candidates scoring 95% and above will be awarded Distinction
- Scores between 70%–79% will be given one more attempt to retake the exam

Module Exams:
Each module will have its own exam of 2 hours
Final Diploma Exam:
A consolidated exam will be conducted at the end of the program

DGR Classroom: 40 hours (6 consecutive days)
Online: 80 hours
Step 1: Allocate 1 week for DGR classroom training

Saturday: 4 hours
